Travel Diaries: Nashville, Tennessee – Part One

Hi y’all!

I’m excited to finally share a little bit about my Bachelorette weekend in Nashville. On May 19th, I went into the weekend not knowing anything – my sister and two best friends planned the entire trip and made sure to keep all details a secret from me. The flight from Toronto was short and sweet, my sister and I took off to a mimosa toast on flight. When we got to our AirBnb home, we were at a loss for words! This beautiful and massive home all for us 12 gals with a backyard full of hanging tea lights and a fire pit – could it get any better? Although, Perry and I are not having a bridal party, being surrounded by 11 of my favorite people (with the exception of a few missing) meant the world to me. To share my gratitude, I prepped denim hats, a weekend kit and handwritten notes for all my girls. This is a nice touch if ever you have a bachelorette weekend!

The first day we enjoyed a boozy brunch at Amot, about a 5 minute walk from our home and went back to the house to set up, sit in the backyard and welcome everyone. Seeing everyones reactions and excitement about our home and being in Nashville was priceless. Our home was stocked with Wholefoods and the girls set up the perfect amount of decor. At night, in true Nashville style we were picked up by a red pick up truck for drinks and dinner at the Thompson hotel. We started on the rooftop for cocktails and made our way to the restaurant where we were in seafood heaven. After dinner, we partied on Broadway Street and spent the night dancing to live music at Tootsies. Best of all, we finished the night bull riding. Yes, you heard it right, bull riding.

I was so lucky to experience a weekend like the one that I did – it was truly memorable and special and I want to do it all over again. Stay tuned for Part 2, where we had two surprise country singers perform at our house!
